Great Intro
I loved the intro, i had high hopes, and even in the middle when there was no distortion it was nice too, but just chunking on heavy metal chords in DROP B(!!?!?!?) isn't pleasing to the ear without some drums. This track sounds like you were just jamming half the time with no real song plan. I understand from the title this really isn't meant to be a song, but why post it then?
Well man I gotta admit you arnt that far off, It isnt a song, its more like me testing things, but it had some structure cause I did double track all the clean parts, and tripple tracked the distortion.
I kind of use this to test effects, riffs, tunings, noises, whatever. This was basically posted to see if I can play heavy, and how my little Les Paul can sound in Drop B.
If you like the clean stuff you'll get some of that soon.
This mic is really starting to piss me off too.
Interesting Scenery
First off, i have to say straight up, this track tends to get boring.. Some minor tempo/beat changes and maybe a change in general would be nice other than just added parts. I myself have caught myself doing that. Just adding new tracks every few repetitions and calling it good. It gets boring after a couple minutes.
Now..on to what really caught my attention.
This song has such a crazy atmosphere which feels so scary. It sets drum n bass music into a sort of underground dark world, you can get that from the ominous bass, scratchy synths that ALMOST come out and that drum beat to finish it off. This song creates it's own world and i could see it used in a video featuring post-apocalyptic cities or the undead...or both!
Good job, i liked your track for the most part, work on maybe a chorus though.
Thanks, I'm surprised people see so much atmosphere in this track. I'll see if I can work on some more complex stuff in the future.
